- United States federal judge. Henry Norman Graven (June 1, 1893 – February 1, 1970) was a United States federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa. Graven was born in St. James, Minnesota. During World War I he served as a U.S. Army combat engineer. He received an A.B. from the University of Minnesota in 1921, and an LL.B. from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1921.
